Guest Chef Michael Schlow at Forty 1° North

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to Forty 1° North on August 19th to join us on a unique culinary adventure led by nationally acclaimed chef, Michael Schlow. Executive Chef and owner of Boston hot spots, Radius, Via Matta and Alta Strada, Schlow has been instrumental in defining and shaping Boston’s restaurant landscape since his arrival in 1995. A James Beard Award of Excellence winner, Schlow’s work has been celebrated by glossy titles like Gourmet and Esquire, and his presence is requested at some of the most prestigious culinary events including The Masters of Food and Wine in Carmel, CA, The South Beach Food and Wine Festival, and The World Culinary Summit in Dubai.

On August 19th at 6:00pm, Schlow will meet and greet guests at The Oval Bar for a brief cocktail reception where his cookbook, “It’s About Time: Great Recipes for Everyday Life,” will be available for purchase. At 6:30pm, guests will be seated in our Main Dining Room for a pre–fixe, 5–coursed menu prepared by Schlow, which will be complemented by carefully selected wines from the Forty 1° North wine list. Reggae this Sunday at The Grill

In timing with the Newport Waterfront Reggae Festival, Aquidneck Island songstress Chelley Smith will be performing with her trio this Sunday at The Grill from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Come watch the sunset, sip on a cocktail and kick back with great music and great times with Chelley, Bill & Dyl.
