I have been delighted over the past few weeks to continue to hear from our guests about their Forty 1° North experiences. Your feedback and ideas are helping us shape our upcoming season. Please keep them coming.

In the meantime, as we ready for our May 22 opening date for The Grill, I thought you might be interested in hearing more about what is new for 2009 and what you can expect to see this summer.

Views Looking Up and Out
As the steel structure for our new hotel goes up, you can begin to imagine the views soon to come from the new waterfront rooms. It’s the scenery that many guests have told us is their favorite part about Forty 1° North – just relaxing on the deck and enjoying those views of the water. Rest assured, even while the new hotel is being built, water views will not be obstructed. Also, this year you’ll see a slightly different arrangement of furniture, with dining tables located nearest the Pavilion and seats for lounging located throughout the deck – lots of space for enjoying a more relaxing pace.

Hours of Operation
The Grill will open on Friday night, May 22. What a nice way to welcome the Memorial Day Weekend. We will begin taking reservations on May 13 for the long holiday weekend and dates throughout the season.

Following Memorial Day, operating hours through June 22 include dinner Thursday-Sunday evenings, and lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. After June 22, The Grill will be open daily for lunch and dinner. We are looking forward to returning with some of your menu favorites, and continuing to add to our offerings. Christie’s restaurant also reopens late June/early July.
